Mohamed Salah has been in devastating form this season, with 18 goals and 12 assists in all competitions. But is this truly his best campaign?

By the Numbers

• 2017/18: 44 goals, 16 assists (51 games)
• 2021/22: 31 goals, 16 assists (51 games)
• 2025/26 (so far): 18 goals, 12 assists (25 games)

While his goal rate is slightly below his record-breaking debut season, his chance creation and expected assists metrics are career-highs. Salah has evolved from a pure goalscorer into a complete attacking player.

His link-up play with Darwin Nunez has been particularly impressive, with the pair combining for 8 goals already this season.
